begins the countdown for the iPad

Success or Flop? It is still early to judge the new Apple device, the only certainty is that the iPad will be available in the U.S. since April 3, 2010 version for Wi-Fi and the end of April 2010 for the 3G version out contemporary world. The starting price of the base model was provided in 499 dollars for the U.S. market. The small Apple gem will be sold in two versions, one with only Wi-Fi and the other with the 3G connection in addition to Wi-Fi 802.11n. The available memory will be 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB.
What is this? The iPad is a tablet computer manufactured by Apple that can play media content and to surf the Internet. You can also perform most of the applications for iPhone OS. The device has a 9.7-inch screen with LED backlight and support multi-touch.
Why the iPad? From the perspective of Steve Jobs (Apple CEO), netbooks on the market are equipped with enough hardware to perform complex tasks; of screens and keyboards too small to be comfortable and limited autonomy of the battery, enough for a productive use of the devices. So the company decided to develop its own alternative, a device somewhere between a phone and a laptop computer evolved. This has led to dell'iPad, a device without a keyboard-based multi-touch interface developed specifically for the device. The user interface follows the philosophy that this iPhone mobile phones adapted taking into account a larger screen and higher computing power.
The main technical characteristics:
  1. CPU speed: 1 GHz;
  2. Video Resolution: 768 x 1024 px, 132 ppi;
  3. Display Features: LED 9.7 "XGA Multi-touch, OS
  4. Series: iPhone OS 3.2,
  5. Weight: iPad Wi-Fi: 680g, iPad Wi-Fi + 3G: 730g;
  6. Dimensions (HxWxD): 24.3 x 19.0 x 1.3 cm
Finally, there must also be said that the product has been highly criticized for the lack of components hardware and software that have similar devices. The device does not have USB ports to be expanded, not presented directly by a slot for inserting memory cards from cameras (requires external adapter) does not have a camera, the browser is able to interpret the content and Flash does not support multitasking.
Flop or success? We just have to wait!
