Evidentemente no, è un esperimento impossibile da realizzare, ed infatti chi formula ipotesi sui cambiamenti climatici sa benissimo che può solo giocare con simulazioni basate su modelli matematici approssimativi, aggiustando alcuni parametri in modo che tali modelli si adattino ai cambiamenti passati, sperando di non essersi dimenticati di inserire nel modello delle variabili fondamentali (quali modelli ad esempio tengono conto dell'attività eruttiva di certi vulcani che possono causare una notevole schermatura della radiazione solare?) e sperando di essere così fortunati da ottenere previsioni che non will be refuted by future changes.
